Creative Ways to Transform Challenges:
Developing a Support Team /
Allowing Others to Help You

Relying on Resources to Help with Change  Mary Carroll Moore

Whenever I am going through a change, I lean heavily on my resources. I interview friends who have gone through something similar. I reduce the learning curve of a new skill by reading books, taking classes, listening to audiocassettes. I brainstorm in my journal about who could offer guidance. I've found that there may be many people in my life who can help me with each major or minor change-I just need to ask.

You have these resources, too. What resources from the list below might have helped you with a past change? Which could you call upon to help you now?

  1. Family
  2. Friends
  3. Priest, minister, spiritual teacher
  4. Inspirational books and scriptures
  5. Workshops and classes
  6. Mentors in your field
  7. Libraries and bookstores
  8. Businesspeople in your community
  9. Your writing journal
  10. Dreams
  11. Inner guidance
  12. Spiritual exercises or other spiritual practices.
